There appeared to be a positive and upbeat mood at Milanello on the eve of the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, at least based on a report that has emerged.

Stefano Pioli’s side are called upon to overturn the 1-0 first leg deficit after last week’s defeat at San Siro against Roma, and winning at the Stadio Olimpico is the only way that they can get through to the semi-finals.

In the training session on the eve of the game, Rafael Leao was the protagonist, as usual. As Fanpage (via Calciomercato.com) recall, the Portuguese was jokingly targeted by his team-mates and Alessandro Florenzi in particular.

As usual the first 15 minutes of the session were filmed by the cameras present at Milanello, and they showed Samuel Chukwueze challenging the first touch of those around him by kicking the ball high and seeing if they could bring it down.

Florenzi found it easy, unlike Leao. After a bad attempt the full-back started to make fun of him: “If you can do it, I’ll eat a piece of grass.” Amid general laughter, Leao also failed the second attempt.

“That’s not a touch,” were the words of Florenzi who then, to everyone’s hilarity, added: “Cassano is right!”

Florenzi is referring to the words of the current commentator who, on Domenica Sportiva on Rai Due, criticised the winger once again. Leao responded on social media, branding Cassano a clown.
