New Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown is already building chemistry with his teammates.
Brown is making a huge bet on himself in 2024 after signing a one-year contract with the Chiefs full of incentives. If the 26-year-old veteran has a big season in K.C. it will likely earn him a big-time contract next offseason.
Brown has already gotten some work in with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fellow receiver Rashee Rice even though the offseason program hasn't begun just yet. Mahomes and Rice joined Sports Radio 810 WHB during the NFL 101 Awards this past weekend and discussed the demeanor and work ethic of their new teammate.
Rashee Rice and Patrick Mahomes say that through some initial workouts with Hollywood Brown, they can tell he's a guy that wants to win.

"It's been good, he's got good energy." Rice said of Brown. "When I first met him, it didn't really seem like my first time meeting him. He's a good dude, easy to be around. I feel like he's going to be easy to be around on the field."
Mahomes chimed in about Brown's work ethic.
"I would say I've been impressed with how hungry he's been. You can tell he wants it. He wants to win. Obviously, he wants to do good; everyone wants to do good. You can tell he wants to be a part of something that's special, a part of greatness. We're trying to build that here. We believe that we've started it, but we want to continue it. We still have a young team, other than [tight end Travis Kelce]. So, if we can continue to build this with a lot of people that are hungry and want to win, we can keep this thing going."
With Brown's blazing speed and ability to find soft spots in coverage to get open, he should be a natural fit in coach Andy Reid's offense. He should also be a much-needed deep threat for the Chiefs, which will help open things up for Rice and Kelce underneath.
