Each Chiefs Super Bowl ring has unique personalized touch

Super Bowl rings are known for their extravagance, but the Kansas City Chiefs went the distance for their Super Bowl LVII jewelry.

Unveiled during a ceremony Thursday night, the Chiefs' rings come packed with diamonds, jewels and any kind of glimmering stone you can dream of. However, they also feature several personalized features. Each player's ring includes their signature on the inside of the band, along with the years the recipient has been with the Chiefs imprinted on the underside of the ring's removable top.

The Chiefs' ring has its fair share of extras and a boatload of bling, but it's clear the team made sure to reserve space for some personalized touches.

With each passing year, it seems Super Bowl winners are trying to pack more and more onto their championship rings. The Chiefs' ring is no different, but they pulled it off classily.

It has everything you'd expect, from the team's three Lombardi Trophies, the score from Super Bowl LVII and a tribute to "Chiefs Kingdom" and founder Lamar Hunt.

However, it also has some unique additions, like a cap on top, which, when removed, reveals the Chiefs' home encircled by a famous Hunt quote," Arrowhead Stadium is my favorite place on earth."

All in all, the Chiefs' ring features 609 round diamonds, 16 baguette diamonds, four marquise diamonds, 35 custom-cut genuine rubies and 16.10 total carats.

Even though the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they couldn't celebrate with a proper ring ceremony. Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said Thursday's private celebration allowed them that opportunity.

"What I am most excited to see is the expression when they see the new rings because the rings are absolutely spectacular," Hunt told Jeffri Chadiha of NFL Network. "But it's also a chance for us to properly celebrate our Super Bowl victory right. Three years ago, when we won Super Bowl 54, we had a social-distanced ceremony at Arrowhead Stadium, which was special in its own right, but tonight's going to be a huge party."
