Man... I just read an article by Pete Prisco on CBSsports.com titled, “NFL safeties bring the pain now, pay for it later,” and it really made me sit back and analyze what exactly it is I do for a living. It pretty much says that the position of safety is the most dangerous position to play in the NFL. ...Personally, I agree."
It’s been a tough couple days around here and I’m sure you guys are struggling, too. Knowing that you didn’t get the job done is a tough pill to swallow, but, unfortunately, we’ve forced ourselves into having to gulp it down.
MAN, I wish things would have turned out differently! I’m just happy the loss didn’t happen as a result of a lack of effort, because this team fought hard all the way to the end, and that’s something to be seriously proud of. Even after we lost Jay, we still almost pulled out a victory, because our team remained determined and Caleb Hanie put together a tremendous performance.
All I can say is... IT’S OOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
This is a HUGE GAME (I’m pretty sure everyone already knows that). The Bears and Packers have the biggest rivalry in NFL football, so history will definitely be made this Sunday at Soldier Field when we square off for the opportunity to become NFL Champions. We beat’em in ‘41 and we have every intention to beat’em again, 70 years later.

HAHAHAHA! OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! This might be the biggest sporting event ever played in Chicago -- WOW.
You’ve got yourself the NFC North Champion, Chicago Bears, getting ready to face-off against the Green Bay Packers. The winner gets to hold up the Halas Trophy, as well as a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
It doesn’t get any bigger than this.

sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY! The Seattle Seahawks are coming in here for a little divisional round playoff action. I’m thinking it’s going to be a great matchup.
Our hats are off to them for beating us earlier in the season. We didn’t play our best game, while they put together a good one by making less mistakes than we did. We’re all excited to be able to have a second chance to redeem ourselves here in round two of the playoffs.
As always, our key to success is making sure we lock them down to a one-dimensional style of play. In other words... We gotta stop their running game. It’s on fire, right now. You saw what they did against the Saints, right? They ran all over the place! So, if we can limit them on the run, our d-line will be able to kinda pin their ears back and go after the quarterback.
Another thing we gotta watch out for is the big play - we have to totally eliminate any chances of'em happening. Seattle made a bunch of monster plays against the Saints, and I do not want to witness a repeat performance of something like that against us.
I’m ready! This is the PLAYOFFS, for crying out loud! We have some amazing football coming our way this Sunday and our eyes are on the prize -- that "prize" being Dallas. This game is the first step towards reaching our ultimate goal: winning the world championship. So rest assured that we’ll be taking care of business as we BEAR DOWN and GET IT!

WOW! I cannot believe where we are, right now! Back in August, I predicted we’d finish the season at 13W-3L, yet we ended up with an 11W-5L record -- So I wasn’t too far off! Despite the guys missing my prediction by two games, I’m still very proud of where we are and the progress we’ve made, thus far :-)
All this winning has made it easy for me to become a legitimate football fan. I’ve learned so much about how the game works and I’ve finally wrapped my head around what my husband’s job description is at free safety.
With that said, don’t get me wrong and start thinking I haven't always been a fan. It’s just that - thanks to this incredible season - I’ve begun to...
Oooooh, MAN! It’s playoff time! I love this!
I feel bad for all those NFL players who never get a chance to experience the postseason. Fortunately for me, I’ve been blessed enough to be a part of the playoffs four times during my six year career. And I definitely don’t take this priviledge for granted.
However, I’ll admit there was a point in my career when I might have taken postseason births for granted a liiiittle bit -- like my rookie year -- and, if I’m being totally honest with you, my second year, too.
As an NFL newborn who had been to the playoffs during my first two seasons, I started to kinda figure...
“Oh, this is supposed to happen every year. If this trend keeps up its pace, I’ll be playing January football my entire career.”
Low and behold, that’s not true.

The earthquake that struck Haiti -- That's who.
Without a doubt, if earthquakes had names, like hurricanes do, that Haitian rocker would be deemed "The Hitman." It destroyed the country, killed hundreds of thousands of people, and left behind millions more to spend the rest of their lives cleaning up all the devastation.
If you've been hanging with me online since last year, you know that Carolina Panthers Nation pulled together to help the Haitian Nation, by donating their money via the text messaging relief system that was put into place. To this very day, I remain proud of everyone for doing their part to heal those hearts over in Haiti.
Reports are now coming out claiming that a lot of the donated money was spent improperly, not spent at all, or has yet to be spent. Personally, I'm not gonna listen to all that noise. Those fear mongers can get outta here, because we're gonna resume giving, TODAY!
Texting "Haiti" to 90999 STILL WORKS, so GET IT! Those people need our help. There's so much more progress that needs to be made over there. Now is not the time to forget about their struggle.

Hey -- What-up, guys. That was a tough loss, yesterday - wasn't it? (Pack - 10 / Us - 3). I REALLY wish we could have pulled it out. We played hard and had every intention to win, but just couldn’t get the job done.
Even though we lost, I gotta say that a lot of value was gained by our guys who haven't been to the postseason before, because Lambeau definitely had a playoff buzz about it. That place was absolutely ELECTRIC. The playoff-esque experience gained will - without a doubt - be carried over to our first battle in the second round.
